This is purely energetic and has lots of atmosphere. I love the colors and i love the shine and colors used on the ground. Great use of shadowing too!. Most of all you showed that the people around this drawing are all different and have different passions and thoughts, that is very hard to show in artwork but you showed it beautifully. I also love the walls and windows and ceiling deep and detailed so captuvating and attractive to the eye, also it shows somewhat of a busy atmosphere a lot of it. All together very beautiful piece to the eye.
i love the carrelage and the figures, the hint of plant life and parasols. the etched edges and colored hues .. i'm not a fan of the highlight in the glass ceiling .. i think a diff color than white would have had more impact, it's just a thought..
the central point de fuite (vanishing point) is bold and normally would've seemed boring .. but it's boldness is matched with the colors and those ridges and glass windows... the lampadair? in the center is a nice eye stopper a lower line of sight might have tripped the user's eye over the ppl and trees ..
still i really love it , from the detailed to the un-detailed part .. and all the mood/feelings it stirs...
i owed you a proper reply/critique for a while .. this isn't exactly it .. been too busy ^_^
This is beautiful, the way the colors strike into each other takes my breath away. I love the dark and red and the grays and whites. It is a fabulous depiction and a wonderful piece of art. Water color is so much fun and you totally nailed it!
I've come back to this piece about six days in a row. I'm certainly not qualified to critique, but in my own opinion, I think that you're a master at perspective and watercolors...This is very clear down to the grooves and specs in the tiles. To me, this is very warm inviting piece. I feel that i am always in ur art bc u have such a talent to draw people in I can easily place myself in that passageway and then have a seat at the bistro xD
Watercolor is a really hard media for me to control when I use it but you are really a master on using Watercolor! *O*, I love how well you are able to make the colors blend so well! I can't even paint this good :3
You have a great use of washes, it shows that you must have years of experience in watercolors. Your works has a very emotional feel to it. You have a great eye for where also to add blunt line and reflection to offset the washed out and sometimes blurred subject matter. The spots of red seem a little overdone I still like the use of the color as part of the wash, but they don't detract attention from the piece as a whole. Of course, that's just me. Overall a very nice piece and well executed. Great use of perspective as well.
Brilliant, love the colors and view point. What about making a picture of someone walking in the rain with numerous colors strewn across the wet street (from city neon signs)? I think that will look great too for a future project. I always love your work!
