FOR SALE Original - Rocamadour - Watercolor 80€

Watercolor on paper 24x32cm 300 g/m2.

Rocamadour is a commune in the Lot departement in south-western France.
Rocamadour has attracted visitors for its setting in a gorge above a tributary of the River Dordogne, and especially for its historical monuments and its sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which for centuries has attracted pilgrims from every country, among them kings, bishops, and nobles.

Please note me if interested.

I agree with originalcoldplayer a japanese setting would look awesome too. but i really like how you've highlighted the edges of the structures with the red and white.

I loved the style, especially the arches hinting at something beyond them and I really liked the perspective (something which I don't have the skill to do myself).  I also enjoyed the rain on the pavement. The whole painting succeeds in evoking a cold, rainy, misty day in France.  I do think that perhaps because the watercolor itself is so delicate that the red, a color that is not so delicate, is maybe a bit jarring and that I would have enjoyed it more if some other color had been used instead of red.

This water coloring does an excellent job in capturing an incomplete moment, and emphasizes the innate cloudiness in perception. The weather sets a somber tone.

This is a very good painting , though I do agree with :iconburstalicious: that there is a little too much ready. Good job though and keep up the great work :)

Very nice. It looks a bit as if viewed through a wet window front in the rain. I also like the little shapes and spots in the background that could be seen as more people.

Good work.
