Sarlat is a Medieval town in the Périgord Noir (southwest of France).
Love the color blend
That's wild. Crazy angle on that building to the left of the picture. Almost like it's collapsing. It's like a city in the throes of chaos and destruction. Some of the painted light spots on the figures resemble crucifixes. And the red on the walls to the right resemble....blood? And could that also be a cross of Lorraine (?) painted in red....? I think the picture represents the chaos attendant upon the collapse of civilization.
But I could be wrong...^^
