I have been bouncing back and forth between this one and the "more dynamic" version, as you call it. While there are things I enjoy about the other, I do like this one more. Maybe it's because I can actually read the map better here, so I was able to pick out the streets where I lived and worked--and all important factor to me. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=":D (Big Grin)"/> The originality and vision here are quite creative, and am I glad you stuck to a B/W/Grayscale here. There are times when the intricacies of the tower and the map overlap to the point of minor chaos--oh Paris and your not very grid-like streets, but I also appreciate that you didn't skimp out out for the other. The slight chaos is where the other version may have been more aesthetically pleasing, but I lost parts of the map. I'm not sure how to achieve the happy balance. The angle is an intriguing and powerful perspective. I think one of the things I do prefer in the other artwork is the lighter lines of the Seine. With the darker grayscale, it does stand out a little bit more than I personally would prefer.
