This work reminds me a lot of the impressionist period, with the way you create an "impression" of this scene utilizing a variety of controlled and not controlled brush strokes. It really is quite a beautiful style to paint in. The interesting thing about this work is that I am actually getting multiple impressions, the right side and bottom utilize a slightly different palate than the left and top of the work. In this way, the work almost seems fantastical, representing different realities and perspectives. Even though you chose to use this very painterly approach to the work, there does seem to be some clashing formal perspectives here- particularly speaking of the road, as it seems to blend directly into a building. This building by the way looks a little awkward in how it sorta bends, although this does lend itself to the fantasy element I mentioned.

Great job, I would definitely want to have something like this hanging in my house!
